The memory of the Father's Love when He gave the Lamb.

I wake up today with a beautiful  smile on my face. I was very inspired by the knowledge that has brought by the topic I attended in "The Roots," about the significance of the The Holy Mass.  Fr. McConaughey has brought enlightenment of each part of mass. According to him, we need to understand the significance of each part to be able to appreciate the beauty of it.

The "walk in the isle" symbolizes the cross of Christ to which is followed by the two candles that represent us. To be a Christian, we are to follow the cross and be the "light of the world." He suggested that when you see your co-mass goers that seem to carry a heavy heart  and that you feel their need of prayers, offer the mass for them and it will surely be a credit to heaven. He will never return the favor to you having no idea that you prayed for them.

The speaker mentioned that mass is a celebration of our salvation. It was mentioned that the least part of the mass is the Homily and the most important things are the Liturgy (the Word of God) and the Offering of the Bread & Wine. The "Collection" was also said to be essential when we do it as a suffering. We can do this by setting aside a part of our allowance as a little sacrifice for the love of God like avoiding to eat a Big Mac Meal and save the 160.00PHP as an offer. In this way, when the priest says "Let our sacrifice may be acceptable to God, the Almighty Father" will make a lot of sense.

The Mass itself is a celebration full of miracles... of what kind? Miracles of Passion and Love for mankind. The memory of the Father's Love when He gave the Lamb.
