Part of GROWING PAINS...

Wow! It’s been a while since the last time I wrote my last daily blessing. Let’s just say I’ve been clogged with so much. Struggles that may seem to blocked my eyes to see and compose God’s grace. It’s true that even if you are with the Lord for so long there will be times you feel the dryness of your spirit. Funny is that you don’t even know where and when did it start. Most women can blame it to our hormones!
During those times I can barely say a prayer, I feel God is so far and can’t be seen. It’s hard to be in that point wherein you need to get recharged but you don’t know when the breakthrough will come in. During these times it reminded me about the concept of physical sickness, that when we have few sleepless nights, our immunity system goes weak and it’s really easy for us to catch different kinds of virus and when we don’t take vitamins or have some exercises we tend to “baby” what we feel. Same goes with the spirit, we encounter these things we should not “baby” them, we need to do some stretching, seek teaching even if they don’t feel being absorbed because it’s in God’s hands when will breakthrough comes out.

Why does Spiritual Dryness happen?
When I was working with my previous employer we eat pizza all the time. Since it’s almost every other day that it came to a point that there are times where I don’t get my share anymore. It became so ordinary and so plain; its distinctiveness was all gone. Just like our life with God, if the feeling is the same all the time, we will no longer find the greatness of His Presence. Observe that dryness of the Spirit just happens to those who are already renewed in faith.

After the drought, spring begins in a whole new level
You can’t be down if you did not experience being up and high with your spirit. God makes us experience the feeling of Him being far away to feel the extravagance of being with Him. Have you experience that after such a miserable feeling, you will all of a sudden have the feeling of being lifted and being carried in a way so loving and you just can’t stop say your praises and your gratitude to our Most High God.
See? Every season has its learning and every circumstance has its blessing.  I’m not saying its saying its easy when we are at the season of misery, but it will be a lot easier to carry when we know why things happen that way. It’s God’s way of teaching us to appreciate and recognize His all-time GLORY! Looking back, we will realize that all of it are just part of GROWING PAINS.

Spending holidays with your family...... PRICELESS

This long weekend was very special for me. Its my very first Philippine holiday I was able to avail after nine years of working with companies following US holidays! Imagine nine years of having a different holiday with the rest of my family and for me its very evident miracle.

When I give up some amount of salary when I left my previous industry I told myself its gotta be worth it! There are days that I really miss the little perks that I gave up but God never fails to remind me of the things that I valued when I made my decision. The decision to follow His will... Now I have more time to serve both communities that I belong to and I can say YES more to the talks I'm being invited to conduct by God's amazing Grace. Experiencing all of these, I thought my new career is all about me serving HIM but it was not just that. He again proved me how my thoughts are different from HIS.

As the old cliche would say that "There is no place like home," I get to spend my 4-weekend with my family. Saturday, I rested during the day watch movies with my sister and went out for my Music Ministry practice. We finished a little late, thank you for my ever loyal and loving GG (God's Gift) who was kind enough to fetch me and brought me home. Sunday came, we got up and prepared early for our SFC graduation. One thing I miss though, the last mass schedule in our village, which is not an excuse for me 'coz its my sole obligation as Catholic Christian to always hear mass on Sundays. Another thing that I need to add on my confession list (whew). My brothers and sisters who also serve their respective ministries, please make sure to do this first thing in the morning if you would really be busy on Sundays. Its a non negotiable not unless, we're sick. I ended my day with a prayer of forgiveness and praise.

God, though He knows how imperfect I am, were still generous enough to bless my much awaited miracle, the two-day holiday I'm waiting for! Monday came, I really was so lazy to get up but when I heard my parents went to the kitchen I rose and help in the chores. My brothers grilled Tilapia (yummy!), I made the dip for the fish and wash the dishes. Nanay made the Pinakbet and others were busy doing their respective tasks. Its a blessing to be in a family of seven 'coz there are enough laborers and you got to laugh especially if you have a funny youngest brother who imitates the newest teleserye "Budoy" while teaching us how to duggie! Can it be any funnier from that? After lunch we went to the mall for groceries and then went home.

Tuesday morning, All Saints Day. We were not able to schedule to go to my parents provinces because we have moved my Tatay's birthday celebration to November 1 to avail our Manila Bay Cruise dinner. So I got up a early hearing my dad was bitten by Dollar (our pet dog) while he was bathing it. So we waited for my sister and brought him to UMC hospital. Thank God for the health cards 'coz we have been spared for almost 8,000 pesos worth of vaccination. The bite was just small but the fact that it bled falls in the stage 3 category of animal bites as the doctor said. We were laughing at Tatay finding out he is afraid of needles!

Then afternoon came and we prepared going to the dinner. We were complete and it was our first time to go in a cruise as a family. By God's loving grace, we had a terrific time, chosen the best seat and had a sumptuous buffet dinner while being serenaded by a band on the second level of the yacht. Everyone was so happy and we ended our day with praying the rosary and sleep for the next morning will be very very early as everyone has to come back to work.... With these much of amazing miracle, God again reminded me that spending holidays with your family is truly...PRICELESS.

Declaring Your Miracles

What a productive weekend!

I had a relaxed Saturday with my family and it was amazing 'coz only on Saturdays I get to take a longer sleeping time. Also, I have my movie time  to watch "My Sister's Keeper" and I was really thankful 'coz our family was blessed to have a healthier being compared to what they challenged to have.

Sunday though was quiet busy because of service. I'm a little sad that I was not able to meet Borgy (my GGG - God's greatest Gift, in SFC that's what we call our better half *wink) last week. It was his time to manage his little business. I hope we will be able to make up for the lost time.

Since its Monday, I want to start everything with enthusiasm and declare that my miracles are on their way to meet me. I declare that God will bless everything that my hand touches. Business opportunities will come my way. More love I will embrace from all my relationships. My siblings will receive great opportunities and potential career. We will have the best celebration of my dear father's birthday. As for my service, will bloom to perfection as we get to learn things that will make our service even better.

I believe that declaring your miracles and same time putting actions to make it happen is a way of manifesting you faith that we can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens us.

He is in Control

I love serving! I belong to two communities, the Light of Jesus Family and the Couples for Christ Community and both have unique qualities that you're surely be attached to.

Yesterday was Makati Feast Day and I was a bit worried earlier in the day because of the gloomy weather.  I was wearing skirt and I will have to walk a long way to get to MRT. Little did I know that I'm going to experience yet another day of miracle. After our lunch, I'd come to know that my boss will be serving the Makati Feast as well, so I ask a favor if I can get a ride and got his yes! (Yipee!)

Late that afternoon I saw from our window that heavy rain was pouring outside, I got a little worried because  we will get wet going to the parking area. 5:30 came and we immediately headed to AIM Conference center. I was so surprised when we went outside, the rain was gone! We got there easily and I prepared myself for my service that night. It was the start of our series "Happytudes" and I was tasked to write the bulletin to be released next week. After all the talk, I had a little chat with my "co-feasters" I have not seen lately, then ate a little snack and headed to my apartment. As I enter my room, lights off, I was surprise when my roommate spoke and said "Were you caught by the rain?" I grin and asked, "Sorry, what's that again?" She said, "I said, its good you were not caught by the rain!" I stopped and realized that its raining again just as after I reached my apartment, I smiled and replied "Yeah, I wasn't caught by it because I came from His service." My roommate, Lyka, smirked and replied "Oh really then huh..."

I know its just so simple but if you think that the God of the universe is watching you as you do your every move you'll not be worried. He is in control.

A Newly Found Treasure

Lord never fails to surprise me everyday! :)

Two days ago, a message was revealed to me to continue my daily routine to hear mass. While passing by St. Francis Church yesterday morning I uttered a silent prayer, "Lord can you show me where I can hear mass besides your Sacred Heart Shrine?"

I used to work on a night shift schedule and usually hear mass in the mornings before going home. Ever since I had my new job (w/c is btw another set of miracle for me, ill tell you more about that later), I had challenges to hear mass in a daily basis like I used to. Ortigas, even though not too far off Makati, will take me 45 minutes to an hour travel to go back. Hearing mass daily is one of the things that I want to do as a habit. It makes me fresh and inspired that God's message is revealed each day. For me its my daily date with God. We all got friends but very important that I have conversation with my ultimate Best Friend. Checking the last mass in Sacred Heart Shrine, I realized that 30-minute travel will not be enough to catch the 6PM mass. I tried considering Greenbelt Chapel but I find it far from where my apartment is. I prefer its either walking distance to where I work or to where I live.

God never fails to listen to my heart. Once I seek, I was able to find. He has not only given me one but two options of Mass schedules in a daily basis. :) Might be a simple point for others but then again if we acknowledge that God is reigning in our lives, big or small things you will credit it all back to Him. He gave me the message through my new found friend in the, Trisha, that there is a daily mass at PSE Chapel at 5:30 PM. Also, I was able to discover the 6PM mass at St Francis Church, specifically located at Padre Pio Chapel (to w/c I'm also a devotee of). WHAT A NEWLY FOUND TREASURE....!

The memory of the Father's Love when He gave the Lamb.

I wake up today with a beautiful  smile on my face. I was very inspired by the knowledge that has brought by the topic I attended in "The Roots," about the significance of the The Holy Mass.  Fr. McConaughey has brought enlightenment of each part of mass. According to him, we need to understand the significance of each part to be able to appreciate the beauty of it.

The "walk in the isle" symbolizes the cross of Christ to which is followed by the two candles that represent us. To be a Christian, we are to follow the cross and be the "light of the world." He suggested that when you see your co-mass goers that seem to carry a heavy heart  and that you feel their need of prayers, offer the mass for them and it will surely be a credit to heaven. He will never return the favor to you having no idea that you prayed for them.

The speaker mentioned that mass is a celebration of our salvation. It was mentioned that the least part of the mass is the Homily and the most important things are the Liturgy (the Word of God) and the Offering of the Bread & Wine. The "Collection" was also said to be essential when we do it as a suffering. We can do this by setting aside a part of our allowance as a little sacrifice for the love of God like avoiding to eat a Big Mac Meal and save the 160.00PHP as an offer. In this way, when the priest says "Let our sacrifice may be acceptable to God, the Almighty Father" will make a lot of sense.

The Mass itself is a celebration full of miracles... of what kind? Miracles of Passion and Love for mankind. The memory of the Father's Love when He gave the Lamb.

Jump start...

I believe that miracles do not happen only in an extravagant way... take a look at the birds, how are they supposed to eat and live without someone taking care of them. Look how the wind blows without seeing where its coming from, and how people live because of the breath of life. There are a lot of things that I consider miracles, and if only all of us sees them we will live a happier life. The fact that knowing our God takes control of whatever we have here on earth, how he allowed things to happen to us, everything is being taken care of. All we need is to trust and believe that in our daily lives, God speaks and it is for us to learn how are we going to see His daily message of love.

This is just a jump start on how I will help you see how God works in our lives...  Sit back, relax and enjoy 'coz the love of God is on YOU....
